PhD Candidate in Philosophy and Ethics of Technology at Delft University of Technology

I weave narrative and theory to explore the ecological, political, and technological complexity of our time. My primary research at Delft University of Technology’s Ethics/Philosophy Section takes an intersectional feminist lens to examine how industrial and retail robots are manifestations of ideology and culture. I also co-run a vibrant intersectional feminist philosophy of technology reading group, an intersectional approaches to AI speaker series, and am an active member of working groups on anti-colonial technology and ethics of attention.

Writing, Speaking, and Workshops

I love public speaking and writing. I’ve spoken at international events on the future of work, consent in robot-touch, loneliness and tech, and intersectional feminism. I’ve also run workshops on philosophy as practice, deep listening and cultivating companionship to be a form of social justice. Contact me for bookings.

Community Care

My research is driven by a commitment to social justice. For twelve years, I volunteered and worked as Interim Director, and Director of Research and Education for Boarding Homes Ministry (BHM), an organization that makes weekly visits to Toronto boarding homes and fosters long-term friendships between volunteers and residents. BHM’s mandate is radical in its simplicity: just bring food and be there. No doing, no fixing, and no advice. I use this approach of generous listening and attentiveness in all of my work.
